Meet Angela Chhakchhuak – She’s barely 15 years old and probably she is the youngest person in India who has over 10,400 daily subscribers following her profile (in the non-pages category) on the social-media giant Facebook.
She had just celebrated her fifteen birthday on March 18 2013 and a high school pupil of class 9 from Aizawl, Mizoram.Most of her updating status tweets is about fashion, her day and the things she do that make her happy – usually penned down in Mizo dialect in the hummable texts like nimbly cute nursery rhymes.
She admitted to have joined Facebook two years ago and made her profile go public mode allowing subscribers to follow her activities just 4 months ago. If calculated on an average, that would mean over 2,500 new followers every month.
If she continues in this same trendy viral, when she lands on her 18th birthday, she would easily get more than 2,00,000 followers by then.

Probably this is the first survey done to measure the online follower’s traffic of popular local celebs from the Northeast states on Facebook.
Well, this list here does not include the most liked people pages on Facebook. Many local celebrity pages on Facebook are managed by fans and not official.
At presence, the official facebook page (see here) of the five time World Boxing Champion has 1,37,963 fans. Mary Kom reigned as queen of the social network from the Northeast India. Her page is maintained by IOS India PR Agency based in New Delhi.
The Wikipedia article app on Facebook of the popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg (see here) has 1,69,211 likes. However, his official Facebook page created in October 2012 has surged 18,997 fans so far. And on the other hand, Assamese actress Moonmi Phukan page is closely whopping with 17,578 fans.
Now coming back to individual profiles on Facebook (not pages), which is handled by themselves. On the Top List, Manipuri actress and former 1st runner-up of Miss Northeast India 2010 Soma Laishram dominates as the most followed individual from the region on the social-media site.
